I completely missed the Pro-Bowl this season. I turned on a football game last week looking for the pro-bowl but could only find a shame of an exhibition game. I quickly turned it off and didn’t waste my time.

I understand players don’t want to get hurt. But people paid good money to watch that travesty. Even a player in the game, and one of the NFLs top stars, called out the players for their horrendous effort.

It is time to end the game. Name the teams so they can be recognized as having a great season plus get their bonus. But don’t waste network time showing the game and people’s money attending the game. Have more respect for your fans than that.

If they are going to do something, how about a skills competition. NFC vs AFC. Some of the skills could be to have a fastest man competition. Have the quarterbacks throw balls at different distances threw targets. Have guys run the shuttle. It could be similar to a mini combine. It could really get fans excited before the draft. You would be able to compare what Ben Roethlisberger did in his skills competition to what RG3 does at the combine.

I know established NFL players wouldn’t want to go through that again but it would be exciting. Right now the fans are bored. And some of the negative comments I have seen, they are upset.

Why doesn’t Jason Campbell get a little more love as a starting QB in the NFL? He isn’t a super star but he has proven to be a valuable slinger. His career QB Rating is better than Michael Vick, Matt Hasselbeck, Alex Smith, Mark Sanchez, Matt Cassel and Josh Freeman. He is close to guys like Cutler, Flacco, and Ryan.

He hasn’t had a lot of stability at the offensive system level. He has had a couple injuries during his career but he played 13, 16, 16, and 13 games in a season in succession prior to 6 this season. In his 5 seasons, he has thrown double digit interceptions only twice. He went 13 TDs and 6 ints in 2008. He broke the 3,000 yard plateau twice. He completes 60% of his passes. Again, as good as or better than most of the players I listed above.

If you are the Dolphins, Cardinals, Browns, etc why take a risk with Peyton Manning or with a rookie in the draft. Rookie quarterbacks miss more than they hit. Peyton not bouncing back could damage the franchise for seasons.

Someone like Cleveland could re-sign Hillis, draft Richardson, draft an OG with their second round pick and make the running game awesome. Draft someone like Malcolm Floyd with their second first round pick to give Campbell a #1 target. Campbell would need to be a game manager and only make a handful of plays a game. He was a 1st round pick. Will you really get much better at that point in the draft with someone like Ryan Tannehill?

Rumors are the Bears will try to keep Forte. Isn’t that a no-brainer? They can’t rely on Cutler to be the man to lead them. They need Forte to take control of the offense. That will allow Cutler to be himself and not a leader. If Chicago gives up Forte, they deserve to lose.

If you are a fan of a team without a QB you should be beside yourself if you don't see your team interested in Kyle Orton. Orton is a proven veteran who when asked to be a game manager and just make a
