Pick TeamPlayer
Anthony Davis, PF - KentuckyDavis will be part of the rebuilding in New Orleans. Davis and Gordon will have to lead the way.
Thomas Robinson, PF - KansasWhether the Bobcats keep this pick is unknown. But Robinson will likely be the second pick. This is an organization that needs energy, toughness, and a winning attitude. Robinson will fill all those needs.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, SF - Kentucky Like Charlotte the Wizards need to find winners who play hard. Kidd-Gilchrist will bring a new attitude to town.
Bradley Beal, SG - Florida Cleveland lucks into the pick they need. A two guard that can score. Beal will be in the running for the Rookie of the Year because of his system and team.
Harrison Barnes, SF - North CarolinaThey could take Drummond here but the scoring potential of Barnes is too hard to pass when its a position of need.
Damian Lillard, PG - Weber StateLillard immediately becomes the PG in Portland. He should bring this team back towards where they were when Roy was healthy.
Andre Drummond, C - Connecticut The Warriors go big with defense to help Lee at the four and as a security blanket in case Bogut goes down.
Dion Waiters, SG - Syracuse The Raptors need an attacking attitude which is what Waiters brings. Maybe his attitude rubs off on DeRozan.
John Henson, PF - North CarolinaHenson will help bring the Pistons back to their nasty attitude. He is a solid partner for Monroe.
Tyler Zeller, C - North Carolina With the loss of Kaman the Hornets will need someone to score in the post next to Davis. Zeller should be as consistently solid as anyone in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Jeremy Lamb, SG - ConnecticutThe backcourt is completely made over with the selection of Lamb. Lamb and Lillard should be a solid backcourt for years.
Meyers Leonard, C - IllinoisIf the Rockets can't move these picks for Dwight Howard then they will need a center. Leonard has as much potential as any center in the draft.
Austin Rivers, PG - Duke My thought is Nash is leaving for a last run at a title. Rivers will have big shoes to fill early.
Perry Jones III, PF - BaylorWithout Zeller and Leonard on the board they go after a possible star at the three.
Terrence Jones, PF - KentuckyHe has the ability to move to the three and be a Rudy Gay type player. Teaming with Thad Young gives the Sixers a lot more flexibility than with Brand.
Moe Harkless, SF - St. John'sThe more I watch Harkless, the more I like his game.
Terrence Ross, SG - WashingtonIf Terry leaves this is his replacement. If they don't think they can get Deron Williams they could go with Marshall here. But I don't see Cuban losing his man. Thus Williams needs a running mate.
Kendall Marshall, PG - North CarolinaThis will open the door for a Kyle Lowry trade. Houston gets the best playmaker in the draft.
Jared Sullinger, PF - Ohio State Howard blocks shots. He needs help on the glass and in the paint. Sullinger may be the best rebounder in the class. Orlando needs to keep Howard. They can't let a top 8 talent slip past them here.
Arnett Moultrie, PF/C - Mississippi State Protection against losing JaVale McGee. Competition if they keep him. Moultrie should be better offensively than Faried.
Andrew Nicholson, PF - St. BonaventureThe Celtics need to replace Garnett at some point. Johnson will be good but Nicholson spreads the defense a little more.
Royce White, SF - Iowa StateIf they plan on resigning Jeff Green this could be a different selection here. If they don't want to resign him they need to find Pierces eventual replacement. White could take a couple years to learn before seeing significant action.
Fab Melo , C - Syracuse The Hawks have enough offense. They need a defensive presence inside other than Horford. We saw how exposed they were without Horford this season.
Quincy Miller, SF - BaylorHis talent is way too good to pass at this point in the draft. More time to heal from his ACL and some time to adjust to the pro game is just what he needs. This pick gives the Cavs a homerun in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Evan Fournier, SG - InternationalHopefully they don't stash him in Europe for a coupel seasons. They obviously aren't good enough to win a title as is. They need some more talent to put them over the top.
Marquis Teague, PG - Kentucky If George Hill is allowed to leave then Teague would be a nice addition to compete with Collison. Teague may have more potential than Collison.
Festus Ezeli, C - VanderbiltThis is bad news for the NBA. They get a defender and rebounder to play with Bosh. One of the weaknesses on Miami has been eliminated.
Jeff Taylor, SF - Vanderbilt The Thunder get a player here. He could start for a lot of teams. Here he will backup one of the leagues best players.
Will Barton, SG - MemphisBarton has been rising lately and fills a huge need for the Bulls.
Tony Wroten Jr, PG - Washington This is a top prospect that has slipped to the last pick in the round. Wroten needs to develop. He could do that slowly as long as Curry remains healthy.
