2010 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductee Floyd Little to Appear at Saturday’s Akron-Syracuse Game

AKRON, Ohio – Floyd Little, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2010, will be greeting fans and signing autographs prior to Saturday's University of Akron versus Syracuse football game, scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. ET at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field on the UA campus.

Little, a first round draft pick of the Denver Broncos in 1967, will be located inside the southeast gate of the venue between 5-5:45 p.m., and will also participate in the coin toss on the field prior to the contest.

The three-time All-America running back at Syracuse, Little amassed more than 12,000 all-purpose yards and scored 54 touchdowns during his pro career, which spanned from 1967 to 1975.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame, located in nearby Canton, is one of Saturday's game sponsors.











UA Athletics Announces Exclusive TV Deal with STO

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron Department of Athletics announced on Wednesday the creation of its own television package to be broadcast live on SportsTime Ohio.

The regional station will air nine Zips sporting events during the 2010-11 season, including the football team's Oct. 23 contest against Western Michigan as well as two men's soccer games – Oct. 19 versus Michigan and Oct. 27 against Creighton. STO will also carry a total of six men's and women's basketball games this win

Desmond Howard To Highlight UB Kickoff Luncheon

Head coach Jeff Quinn will join Heisman Trophy winner as keynote speakers on August 4

BUFFALO, NY – Desmond Howard, one of only four football players in history to win both the Heisman Trophy and Super Bowl Most Valuable Player, will be the keynote speaker at the annual UB Football Kickoff Luncheon on Wednesday, August 4 at the Millennium Hotel.
